Is Album Art about the music or the art?
THE MUSIC ASPECT
With the advent of cassettes and CDs the once common LP is becoming scarce. In fact, many are downright rare and valuable. "Out-of-print" albums are sought by collectors across the land. Several books on the subject of collectible records are available which show the titles and their values. Also, there are now several monthly publications dedicated to music collectors. Most new releases are not available on vinyl and many music retail stores do not even stock record albums.
THE ART ASPECT
Many admirers have long considered the artistic style of album covers as its own "niche" art form. The book "Album Cover Album" is now in its third edition. Others are also available on the topic.
Many contemporary famous artists have drawn album covers or rock posters. Andy Warhol, Peter Max, Vargas, Nagel, and Klaus Voorman, just to name a few.
Enter Album Art!
Every hand-crafted selection includes a genuine Album Cover and Record, as issued by the manufacturer, by the original artists. Album Art features an original copyright protected© "Story Board" containing archival facts & tidbits about the album & artist. And each piece bears its own serial number. The Album and Story Board are professionally mounted beneath a color coordinated bevel-cut, acid-free mat and distortion free framer's glass then surrounded with a coordinating quality frame. All components are proudly "Made in the USA" ... what else would you expect from the country that invented Rock n 'Roll?
Our small company is dedicated to preserving the classic images of Album Cover Art through the creation of Album Art.
